With Smart Dimensions, you get the possibility to set up the automatic creation of default dimensions on all tables using standard dimensions making sure that when transactions are created dimensions will follow.
Why use Smart Dimensions?
To be able to take full advantage of Dynamics 365 Business Central in terms of analysis you need to use dimensions. Dimensions break larger chunks into smaller pieces allowing you to slice and dice in your data. Smart dimensions help you ensure that this is made in a consistent and coherent way. When set up, Smart Dimensions will automatically set up dimensions on your data making sure that when transactions are created dimensions will follow.
No more worrying if all transactions are tagged with the
correct dimension or having to correct data that are missing dimensions that
should be there to analyze your data correctly.
Do you use other apps or have per-tenant extensions?
In the setup for Smart Dimensions, it is possible to choose any table in Business Central that is using Standard Dimensions, that includes tables from other apps or per-tenant extensions and set up so that all data created from the table will be set up with a Standard Dimension. This way you make sure that when transactions are created from this table dimensions will follow.
What about the costs?
Smart Dimensions has a 30-day free trial and after that, the price is based on the number of licensed users in the tenant. Essential and Premium users are priced at 2 euros/month, and Team member users are free of charge. To calculate your price and read more about our pricing please go to
